If you are comfortable using any other virtual computer tool, then you can surely go and give it try for installing Windows 8 on Mac too. Things do not change while using any virtual computing tools.
While using VMWare and Virtual Box, if have followed the same steps that one do for installing any other OS on it. Below steps would make it clear to you.
Install Windows 8 On Mac With VMWare
VMWare is an Oracle product which is not free. But if you somehow manage to grab it for free, or you want to try the trail version of the same, then lets start with the steps.
So, first thing that we need is ISO image of the Windows 8 download files so that we can start with it. Click here to download Windows 8 onto your computer.
Now launch the Virtual Box tool and click on the New button.
Now drag and drop the ISO image of Windows 8 on to the New Virtual Machine Assistant and then click on the Continue button.
And while doing so you need to make sure that the option Use operating system installation disc or image is market.
In the Operating system section, choose Windows 7 and you need to choose minimum of 2GB of RAM.
Now reboot your virtual machine and follow the instructions step by step and install Windows 8 on Mac with VMWare.
Install Windows 8 On Mac With Virtual Box
Well the first thing remains the same for this method also, that we need to download ISO images of Windows 8. Click here to download Windows 8 onto your computer.
Open the Virtual Box and the click on the New button. Now it would prompt you to enter the name for the virtual machine.
Now select the operating system as Windows 7 and then click on the Continue button.
It would now ask you to choose the RAM that you want to allocate to your virtual machine. You need minimum of 2GB for that. Once you choose the value, click on the Continue button to take it further.
Since you have set up your virtual machine now, browse and choose the location of the Windows 8 image that you have downloaded and then click on the Continue button.
Just follow the instructions now and this is how you can install Windows 8 on Mac with Virtual Box.
