Turn Off WiFi and 3G When Not In se
It happens with smartphones too. If you are not using WiFi or 3G connection, make sure that you switch it off. The reason behind this being the fact that battery drains out so quickly if you have WiFi or 3G switched on your iPad 2 or iPad.
Adjust Brightness
More is the brightness, greater is the battery consumed. By default, you have the Auto-brightness feature enabled on your iPad 2 and iPad tablet PC, which actually adjusts the brightness automatically according to the sunlight. But if you could lower the brightness in the low light conditions manually, you would be helping the battery to offer better life. You can do it by adjusting it at Settings > Brightness & Wallpaper.
Switch Off Location Service While Not In Use
Just like 3G and WiFi, GPS too consumes so much of battery. So, make sure that you switch off location services option when you are not using its GPS functionality. You can do it by, Settings > Location Services and moving the slider to OFF position.
Auto Check Less Number Of Email Accounts
If you have few number of email accounts which are auto checked by iPad 2 or iPad, you could delete the ones which your seldom use as this would increase the battery of iPad 2 and iPad. All you need to do is, Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars, choose an email account, and set Account to Off.
Turn Off Push Notifications
There would be number of applications running on your iPad 2 and iPad which automatically fetch data from the Internet and notify you. And such activities consume good amount of battery. So navigate to Settings > Notifications and set Notifications to Off.
