How to Install ?
To use this, first you need to download it from the extensions page. Download the add-on by selecting your OS and then click Get It. You will be asked to save the OXT file, do it and simply double click to install the OpenOffice extension.
How to Use?
You can directly open any PDF document in OpenOffice draw. You will be able to edit various elements of the document. In order to edit a text element you can simply double click the element to make your modifications. Right clicking an image you will see a menu that includes entries for various arrangements of the image, cropping, and converting. You can convert embedded images into different types of objects (Polygons, Contour, 3D, 3D Rotation File, or Metafile).
Saving the Changes
You can save the changes in the PDF format you can do that by clicking Export to PDF and you should not directly use Save As. If you want to save the document in one of the supported OpenOffice Draw formats you can use Save As.

Great post. I was checking constantly this weblog and I’m impressed! Extremely helpful info particularly the final phase 🙂 I handle such information a lot. I used to be looking for this certain information for a very long time. Thank you and best of luck.
i was downloaded a pdf file. when i was open that file , an error will occur that is there was an error opening file, could not open it. i’m using Acrobat reader5.0.
Double clicking the OXT file does not work. Windows (with OpenOffice installed) does not know what to do with this file. There is no “Install plug-in” that I can find in OpenOffice. This did not help.
Another great way to convert PDF to Word or other editable formats is http://www.pdftodocconverterpro.com
It is a quick and easy to use program and they have a completely free version that does not expire.
I’d recommend http://www.pdfescape.com instead. Nothing to install.
Thanks for sharing. I was just looking for a PDF editor on Google and came across your blog. So great the tools you posted! By the way, I also uses Adreamsoft PDF to Word Converter to convert my pdf files to editable word format since I always need to edit the pdf content. And this tool works well. Hope you like it.
Or you can edit PDF files for free online without having to install open office.
