In Scribd, If the uploader disabled the download option, you will not be able to download files for offline use and they can only be accessed online. How do you download locked or restricted files or documents from Scribd? There is a workaround using which you can get any locked files from any website. Previously we shared a way to download restricted Flickr Photos,
How to Download Locked or Restricted Images from Photo websites like Flickr
If you don’t know about Scribd, it is a best place to search for any e-books, Documents or presentations etc on a particular topic. it has a huge data base of Documents and files which are free to download and share. Know more about Scribd from this article..
Scribd – Share documents and files online for free
You cannot download these files as they are locked. But using a simple virtual printer software, you can create PDF files out of online data by printing the online document in PDF format. Primo PDF is one best software to do this job. Get it here..
Convert Any File ( Doc, Images, Text, Web pages ) to PDF – Primo PDF
After you download and Install the software, go to the document you want to download and click on the Print option. In the resultant window, choose Primo PDF and then click Print. That’s it and you are done. You will get the file in the PDF format and you can use it as you want.
This trick can be useful for people who are not registered in Scribd and want to download files on the fly. If you encounter any problem downloading the document, get Microsoft XPF Document Viewer and select it instead of PDF and the .XXPF file can be converted into different formats using Zamzar.
Note: This trick is for educational purposes only. I don’t recommend or encourage any illegal activities.

Hi Vinne2,
I am fine and have no problem print the Locked Files or Documents from Scribd with your magic, however, I came across with "Pages 2 to 4 are not shown in this preview.". Is there any magic to print the pages which are not shown? Thanks again.
Hi Vinne2,
You are a genius and I really really appreciate for your detailed and lengthy explanation & tips. I finally managed to print the document. Just curious to know, is it possible to download instead of print? I am sorry that I am being too demanding, Sorry.
*Exactly 20th line from the fisrt line to locate
http://www.scribd.com/services/oembed?url=http…&format=xml
Then copy & paste the above link to a new page in browser then look for 12th line which has something like:-
src="http://d1……=list", pls copy the whole link which begins from http:// EXCEPT the quotation mark. And paste it into your browser addres bar. Hit Enter. Now You should have a view of Your document with a pretty [Print] button.
"Just curious to know, is it possible to download instead of print?"
You're curious – seek then. q:)
Get an application [ex. PDFCreator] that acts as a virtual printer and prints (everything You let it print) into a PDF file. Another words – You choose what You want to save, choose (in a dialog box) PDFCreator as a printer You want to use, click [Print] – and it will save that into a PDF file just as it would look coming out of You regular printer.
Now You understand? Install PDFCreator and print scribd with it q:)
Hi Vinne2 ,
Thanks a lot for the magic.
O.K. Now that everybody knows everything I unsubscribe from here. GL&HF, guys
Hi,
I cant find “http://www.scribd.com/services/oembed…” ending in “…format=json”
on the new page look for the line (around half way down) starting “http://d1.scribdassets.com/ScribdViewer.swf?document_id=…”
You may try finding http://www.scribd.com/services/oembed?url=…&format=xml It's the 20th line in the source code (I don't count empty lines) [remember, the three dots "…" in the link I pasted are not really dots in the source code! I put dots in here because every document has another text in that place!]
Copy that and paste into Your browser address bar. On the new site serach for something like: <embed id="doc_[SOME-15-DIGITS-HERE]" name="doc_[SOME-15-DIGITS-HERE]" src="http://d1.scribdassets.com/ScribdViewer.swf?document_id=%5BA-LOT-OF-SYMBOLS-AND-DIGITS-HERE%5D <-and it's probably ending with sth like "&page=1&viewMode=list" but I'm not sure. Copy that string after //src=// but without quotation marks! And paste it into your browser addres bar. Hit Enter. Now You should have a view of Your document with a pretty [Print] button.
Thanks a lot for the Tip Vinne..
"Vinne2", people, cannot You see, there's a digit at the end…? ;p You can read it like "Winnetou"… ;]
Download from scribd
Right click on the web page but not on the document you’re veiwing. Select ‘view page source’. Click on the link which begins “http://www.scribd.com/services/oembed…” ending in “…format=json”
on the new page look for the line (around half way down) starting “http://d1.scribdassets.com/ScribdViewer.swf?document_id=…” its all in quotation marks so just highlight and ctrl c that one line between the quote marks. Paste in the web address field of your browser and it’ll come up with a grey blue screen which will show the document with a handy print button at the top. A bit long winded but worked for me 🙂
