All you need to do is divert all you calls through Google Voice. Because, Google offers you with a way to block numbers. I call this the best way because it is free, but the price you need to pay is that you would be transferring your calls via Google Voice.
Once you have installed the app on your iPhone, launch it and tap on Voice Settings button. And then tap on the Call button and then put a check at the box labelled as Global Spam Filtering.
Now you have enabled this feature to block a number on iPhone using Google Voice. Lets try blocking a number then.
Navigate to Contacts tab on Google Voice and put a check across the contact that you want to block.
Now tap on Edit Google Voice Settings and select the option When this contact calls you and choose the appropriate option from. Below are the options:
- Block Caller : This would block the caller and he / she would be hearing a message which says, Number Not In Service. And if you want to check who called you, you can find it from History and Missed list, marked as Blocked.
- Treat As Spam : Here, the caller would be directed to leave a message to your voicemail box. And the call would be marked as Spam.
- Send To Voicemail : This option works just as the above one. But it wont mark the caller as spam.
