Windows 7 offers number of tweaks and using small icons on taskbar and desktop is one of them. If the bigger Windows 7 icons (by default) hurt you, here is the tip to make these Windows 7 taskbar and desktop icons smaller.
Below are the steps to convert the desktop icons into smaller size:
Step 1: Right click on the desktop and click on VIEW
Step 2: Now choose any of the sizes that you prefer like, LARGE, MEDIUM and SMALL
That is it. Now you can see that desktop icons have shrunk.
Below are the steps to convert the taskbar icons into smaller size:
Step 1: Right click on the desktop and click on PROPERTIES
Step 2: Now, under the TASKBAR tab, check on the option labeled as “Use Small Icons”
That is it. This will make your taskbar icons smaller than earlier.
