If your work involves managing many pictures, audio and video files and changing their properties, DMSI will be downright useful. It integrates into the Explorer shell; when you right-click on an image, audio or video file, it lists a host of formats and resolutions to which you can convert the file. You just need to select one or more files, choose the options by moving your cursor along the menus, and click on the last one to launch the conversion. Here is a list of all available conversions :
Video:
– Input container: avi, ogm, mkv, mpeg, vob
– Input video codec: any one if you have the good direct show filter (divx and xvid for exemple).
– Input audio codec: mpa (for mpeg), mp3, ogg, wav
– Output container: avi, ogm, mkv, rv10
– Output video codec: divx, xvid, rv9 (only for rv10 container)
– Output audio codec: mp3, ogg, ra (only for rv9 container)
– Options: you can choose video resolution, video and audio bitrate.
Audio:
– Input: wav, ac3, mp2, mp3, ogg, mpc, wma, flac, m4a
– Output: wav, mp3, ogg, mpc, wma, flac, m4a
– Options: You can choose the ouput audio bitrate (except for wav)
Picture:
– Input: jpg, png, gif, bmp, tga, pcx, ico, psd, dds, xpm, ras, sgi, hdr, tif
– Output: bmp, jpg, png, gif, tga
– Options: you can choose resolution (pixel or %), rotation, flip, compression quality (only for jpg)
You can select which filters you want to display in the Explorer shell. There are filters available to enhance the clarity of video called Avisynth filters. You can add these to enhance video clarity. DivXMachine lets you build custom Explorer shell menus from scratch using the bundled DMSI Menu Editor.
A powerful menu editor is also available to custom, improve or create your own menu. DMSI Editor has a lot of features to avoid doing things twice. Items can be duplicated and copies depend on original items. It allows to update menu easily and create new one faster.
