To overcome this problem there are two different methods, one for each type of player. The problem lies with the players clashing with the Google Talk. We will make a relation between the music player and the chat client.

Note: Remember to Close both Winamp or Media Player and Google Talk when doing this.

For Windows Media Player :

If this problem occurs in Windows Media Player( WMP) it just needs an activation of the plugin. It can be done in the following way..

• Go to The Now Playing in the Now Playing in your player.
• Select Plugins > Options
• In the resultant window select Plugins > Background from left side.
• Select Google Talk Music Plugin
• Click OK and you are done.

For Winamp 5.5 or Higher Versions :

For Winamp there is a diffrent process. It is very simple and it can be done in the following way..

• Go to the root directory of Winamp which is usually in C:\Program Files\Winamp\
• Select Tools->Folder Options->View (Tab) and uncheck the hide extensions for known file types and click Ok.
• Now create an empty file (Right click the mouse -> New -> Text document), so the default file would be like “New Text Document.txt”.
• Rename the above file to “winamp.m3u” and save.

Now open both applications and Show Your Current music track status. It will work fine without the Google Talk Freezing. Go ahead and Fix the bug and enjoy showing what you are listening to your friends.

What else can we start with, other than this. Here you can watch user uploaded videos for free. You can even subscribe to channels to get latest updates.

2. Joost

It has a cool interface with lot of good content. It uses P2P system. The quality of videos is also very good.  If you can snag an invite, you’ll be in for a treat for sure.

3. Babelgum

This is also a  P2P-based content delivery site. There are many channels like news, music, documentaries, sports, animation, and others.It is free but is an ad-supported content and the daily downloads are also limited. . The content plays smoothly, and the interface is great.

4. Sopcast 

It is an easiest way to watch TV from Sopcast. It is one of the very famous services. It will ask you to download a player and you can watch channels from all over the world through it. Mainly it is famous for the sport broadcasts like Football, Cricket etc

5. Veoh

Veoh is also based on the downloadable player. Although it’s possible to watch videos online on the Flash version of the Veoh player, the focus is on offline (or at least desktop) viewing, and videos longer than 45 minutes can be viewed only on the desktop player. Available videos include both user generated content as well as professionally produced, sometimes copyrighted stuff.

Finally, it’s a media organizer, which lets you bundle all that offline and online videos into one neat collection. The result is a great online video experience that’s not quite as effortless as Joost, but it sure beats visiting all those video sites and podcasts and looking for stuff by hand.

BlinkX is a video/audio search engine which claims to have indexed over 12 million hours of video. Since it’s a search engine, you’re hardly gonna be able to sit back, relax and enjoy the shows.

Provides a selection of the best broadband Internet television channels. To watch the Internet TV channels on Windows- or on a Macintosh computer you can use Windows Media Player for ‘Media’ streams, Real Player for ‘Real’ streams and Apple’s Quicktime Player for ‘Qtime’ streams.

GUBA enables download of the videos to your PC, iPod, PSP, and other portable devices. The site is also unique for the fact that it finds content on USENET groups.

After Downloading the Anti-virus, Install it.

Boot Lock
This trick will allow you to use your USB stick as a key to boot into Windows. If someone tries to start the computer without your USB stick, it will display boot errors. Before I begin, let me tell you that playing with the BIOS and boot files of your computer may result in you not being able to boot into your Windows partition; so continue at your own risk! Now that we have absolved ourselves of all guilt, let’s begin.

Things you need: A 64MB or larger sized USB Stick, Windows Recovery Disk (just in case).

• Unhide hidden and protected files : Go to Tools > Options > View, check Show hidden files and un-check Hide protected system files.
• From the drive where Windows is installed (normally C:\), copy the files boot.ini, ntdlr and NTDETECT.COM to your USB Stick.
• Now, we need to go into your BIOS, so restart the computer and keep jabbing [F8] as soon as the computer starts.
• Once in the BIOS, enable USB Drive as the first boot device. You might have to enable USB Legacy  Support on older BIOSes.
• Restart your computer, if all goes well, you should be able to log into Windows. If not, then unplug the USB Stick, return to the BIOS and change the First Boot device to your hard disk drive and repeat the steps above.
• Once you are logged into Windows, go to your Windows drive and rename boot.ini to boot.bak.
• To check if you have setup everything correctly, eject your USB stick and reboot the computer. You should get error messages on the screen such as Invalid Boot.ini” or “Windows could not start”.

The Other Way

For the less brave-hearted, instead of preventing Windows from booting, you can choose to just lock your computer with your USB stick using a software. Here are some which may come to your use..

USB System Lock
A freeware program, USB System Lock works flawlessly while locking and unlocking your computer. When you first install USB System Lock, it detects your USB stick and creates a digital key on it. This key is used by the program to authenticate the user and log into the computer. Strangely, the program is not included in the start-up list by default.

To add it there, you need to drag Agent from the USB System Lock entry under All Programs to the Startup folder in the same menu. If you happen to accidentally delete the key from your USB stick while working on the protected computer you can reassign a key using Start > Programs > USB System Lock > Key Disk Generator.

My Lock 2.0
This program takes USB-based computer locking to a whole new level. For decent price, you can lock access to not only your PC but the keyboard, CD Drive and even access to Safe Mode. You can also set a particular time for the computer to automatically lock itself. Connecting to the Internet on a Linux system using a broadband connection can be done in many ways like by using a USB Data Card, by PPPoE or with cURL to a web based login. Here I will tell How To Connect to Internet using Your broadband connections through most common type of connections.

Connecting Using A USB Data Card

One of the easiest ways to get online these days is to use a data card. They’re not fast but they’re flexible and you can connect within minutes by plugging in the USB dongle. While on Windows, it’s simple. While on Linux, there are formalities, that need to be completed before you can start dialling. First we need to make sure that the USB data card has been detected by your distribution.

Connect your USB data card first. Then, we need to first login into root, then type the following. cat/proc/bus/usb/devices A list of connected devices will be displayed, and you should find your data card from the list. Look for a line with the vendor mentioned as Vendor=_______, and a Product ID as ProdID=______.

Next, we need to run modprobe. Type modprobe usbserial vendor=________ product=________ using the same information that we got from the device list. Once that’s done, type dmesg. Edit the /etc/wvdial.conf using a text editor such as vi. You will find a new connection called [Dialer cdma]. Enter the necessary information there, and save the file.

Finally, type in the command wvdial cdma to dial the connection. You can also use try using sudo wvdialconf to configure your connection. Once the
connection has been setup, you might want to go check whether the newly created connection is being used in Ubuntu under Administration > Network.

Connecting Using PPPoE (PPP Over Ethernet)

These days, PPPoE is one of the most popular ways of connecting to the Internet. It’s used a lot on ISPs that use wired networks and cable modem connections. On Windows, a PPPoE dialling connection can be setup using a Network connection wizard, but on Linux, we need to use a program called pppoeconf. Run this program as a root from a console.

The first thing that happens is that the device will look for all network cards installed on your machine. Make sure your LAN cable is plugged in and then proceed. The application will then scan for a PPPoE server on your ISP end. When it does, you will be asked to use the connection as your Internet connection. Proceed and you will be asked to enter the username and password for the connection.

You can leave the rest of the settings as they are. Usually, the ISP provides you with the DNS server information automatically when you dial, so you need not enter any name servers either. At the end, you can choose to have the connection dialled. You can also dial the connection using the command pon to turn on the connection, and poff to turn off the connection.

Connecting With cURL To A Web-based Login

Although PPPoE is the simplest and the most flexible way anyone can connect to an ISP, there are many ISPs that require users to login using their Web interface. For that, there’s hardly any automation that can be done except using a little known program called cURL. cURL is available for Linux, Windows and a whole lot of other OSes. You can download it from http://curl.haxx.se. It is used to access sites using username and passwords, so it can be used to enter a user and password on your ISP’s login page.

Unzip cURL in a suitable folder, and then open a command prompt window and browse to that location. You can use enter a command in a text file in Notepad and save it as a BAT file. All you need to know is the URL for your ISPs login page and obviously your username and password.

Create an entry – curl –d “username=_________&password=___________” http://<url_for_login>. Save the file and exit. The same entry can be entered in the command prompt. The BAT file can be run to login, or a batch file can be scheduled to start on startup, so you can have your connection turned on when the computer boots.

To do this, First you need visit the Settings page of Picasa web albums account and check "Allow me to upload photos by email." The secret email address where you can send your photos has the following format: username.secretkey@picasaweb.com, where secret key needs to be defined in the settings. .

By default, Picasa Web uploads your photos to the built-in Drop Box albums, but it’s a good idea to choose your destination by entering the name of an existing album in the subject of your email. You can send the photos just like any other ordinary mail by just uploading them as attachments and sending them to your secret email address.

Also make sure you don’t share the secret email address with other people. And if you do, just choose a different secret key for your address to maintain privacy and to prevent others from using your album.

You can attach up to 20MB of photos in JPG, GIF and PNG formats, which is a pretty reasonable limitation. Since Picasa Web’s mobile site still doesn’t support uploading photos, the new option should be really useful when you want to share photos from a phone with email or MMS capabilities. Try it and you will love it.
