How To Jailbreak iPad / iPhone iOS 4.3.1 Using Redsn0w

Jailbreak iPad / iPhone iOS 4.3.1 Using Redsn0w

Once you have downloaded all the required tools, you need to update your iPad with the latest firmware. You can either get the updates from Apple servers or from the file that you have downloaded. So press Shift + Update (on Windows) and Left OPTION + Update (on Mac OS) to browse and select the IPSW file that you have downloaded at the start.

Now, unzip the Redsn0w 0.9.6rc9 zip file and double click on the redsn0w.exe file. And if you are working on Windows 7, make sure that you run this file as Admin and also make sure that you are working with Windows XP compatibility mode.

Now, click on the Browse button and navigate to the path where you have downloaded iOS 4.3.1 firmware. If you have downloaded the wrong file, Redsn0w would throw an error, otherwise it would proceed smoothly.

Click on Next button and the Redsn0w tool would start with process of jailbreaking. Now, click on the Next button again as this would start with the installation of Cydia.

Now, follow all the instruction step by step as it would help you switch your iPad / iPhone to DFU mode. Plug in your iOS device to your computer and turn it off.

Once your iPad / iPhone is in DFU mode, Redsn0w would start jailbreaking it. And it would start the process with LimeRa1n exploit. Like that, it would do carry on the process till its done.

At the end, it would display you with Done message and then click on the Finish button. And wait while your iPad / iPhone automatically reboots which is now a jailbroken iOS 4.3.1 with a working Cydia.
